| PURPOSE
The Arts In Medicine Program (AIM) is an interdisciplinary group of volunteers composed of artists, musicians, performers, physicians, therapists, clinical practitioners, medical staff, and educators. Its purpose is to promote the health and well-being of TMH patients and families through the myriad relationships between the arts and human responses. It is a partnership between the Florida State University and the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare facility and is designed to bring together the rich resources of the FSU arts and clinical programs with the Tallahassee arts community for benefiting TMH patients and their families. |
The Arts In Medicine program components include volunteers providing direct patient interactions with the arts, scheduled performances in multiple locations throughout the facility, improvement of environmental aesthetics, and special projects designed to facilitate use of medical services or improve comfort levels of patients. |
